[ ]Writing Workshop
Need constructive criticism on your character? Want advice on a fanfiction? This is the place to post.

Do not post here asking for advice if you are sensitive to criticism. If you ask for criticism, you will probably get it. On the other hand, if you are taking the role of the critic, you should try to be as nice and helpful as possible, not merely insult someone's character.

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
[ ]Front Gate and Grounds
When you first enter the building at 1407 Graymalkin Lane, you'll have to pass through the front gate. You may notice some teenagers chit chatting on the lawns or playing basketball on the basketball court (which sometimes opens up to reveal a jet hangar for the Blackbird). There are also some lovely gardens with fragrant flowerbeds and other plants.

[ ]Kitchen and Dining Room
Hungry? You can usually get a snack from the fridge. Just make sure it's not part of Wolverine's stash -- otherwise you might find a trio of metallic blades in your face. Group meals are served in the Dining Room, but if you miss one you can cook your own stuff or eat leftovers.

[ ]Day Room and Rec Room
If you're bored, you can watch some TV in the Day Room. There are few comfy couches and as well as a few bookcases. The Rec Room has a pool table and some video game machines, so make sure you have enough quarters (hey, we gotta make money somehow!).

[ ]Library
The institute has a huge library, thanks to a donation from an anonymous benefactor. You'll find all the classics here as well as many contemporary novels. Remember to return borrowed books on time -- you don't want to have to pay a fine.

[ ]Offices and Teacher's Lounge
Along with Professor Xavier's office, there are also several other offices for some of the professors. The Teacher's Lounge is for professors only, but it's really not that big of a deal (it's just an over-glorified office supply room with some copy machines and stuff).

[ ]Dormitories
The dormitories at the institute are co-ed, though all roommates are same-sex. Unlike most university dorms, rooms have carpeting and wooden walls, giving them a homely look.
00
[ ]Infirmary
If you are ill or injuried, you should go the infirmary. A doctor will take care of you.
00
[ ]Bathrooms
Like other public institutions, bathrooms are separated by gender. The bathrooms near the dormitories have individual showers with curtains and even a few bathtubs.
00
[ ]Gym, Indoor Pool, and Locker Rooms
The gym is where most P.E. classes are held. If you're lucky, the gym teacher will hold a class in the indoor pool. The pool is open during the day when classes are not being held. Locker rooms are right by the gymnasium and the pool.
00
[ ]Attic
At the top of the school is the attic. It is a large, empty space sometimes used as a more private recreational area. It was once used for storage, but since people had free access to it, things began to go missing or get broken. Now it just a large, vacant area. It is a private place, but anyone could come in at any time.
00
[ ]Garage
This is where all the vehicles of the staff and students (except for the X-jet) are parked. This includes both motorcycles and cars.

[ ]Basement
Besides the escape tunnels and secret rooms, there is also an ordinary basement. There is a water heater, oil heater, auxilary generator and old furniture.
00
[ ]Secret Rooms
These are the rooms that only the students and staff know exist. They include Cerebro, the Danger Room (where mutants train), the War Room, the jet Hangar, laboratories, and secret escape tunnels.
00
[ ]X-Jet and Other Planes
The X-jet is the primary long-distance transportation for the X-men. It is rather spacious, but it cannot hold a very large amount of people..
00
The Brotherhood Lair
[ ]Parking Lot
Near the Brotherhood compound lies a deserted parking lot. This is where the Brotherhood members generally park their cars.
00
[ ]The Black Forest
The Black Forest surrounds the Brotherhood Lair. It is a dark and desolate woods that is known to have mutants lurking around in it.
00
[ ]Entrance
Near the edge of a cliff lies the entrance of the lair. At first glance, there appears to be nothing there but a young apple tree. If you touch the tree, and your DNA is a match, the ground opens up, and an elevator appears. If you touch the tree, and your DNA is not a match, you will be electrocuted to death. Your body will drop into the dungeon so that the Brotherhood can see their most recent kill.

The entrance is both the cliff above the lair and the entrance room inside the lair. The room is dismal and empty.
00
[ ]The Lounge
This is where the brotherhood members can relax after a long day. There is an HDTV and an internet connection.
00
[ ]Magneto's Office
The "office" is a strange mixture of a dungeon, a meeting room, and throne room. There is a throne-like chair with cushions upon which only Magneto may sit. This throne lies in front of an executive-looking metal table surrounded by metal chairs. It is dark and bare, just like the rest of the lair.
00
[ ]The Arena
Here, the Brotherhood members battle one another to train themselves in combat.
00
[ ]The War Room
In the war room, the Brotherhood gather to plot their missions.

[ ]Interrogation Room
This is where captives of interest go through extremely painful mental and physical torture until they tell any useful information.
00
[ ]Supply Room
This is where food and weapons are kept. The Brotherhood has to eat, and even human weapons can come in handy occasionally.
00
[ ]Dormitories
For all the Brotherhood members that don't have anywhere better to sleep. It's two beds a room, and the beds are not exactly comfortable. The rooms are more like prison cells with their metal, windowless walls and have no decorations or adornments of any kind. Rooms can be claimed, but no one really cares if something gets stolen. These are the Brotherhood dorms after all.
00
[ ]Dungeon
This murky area is under constant surveillance. It is a jail full of cells for the unlucky souls who manage to find themselves trapped imprisoned by the Brotherhood.

[ ]North Salem, New York (5 sub-boards)
Located in Westchester County, New York, this is the town where the Institute lies (in a rural community called Salem Center). It is a rural, mostly Caucasian town, but the people are generally friendly. Most students describe it as "boring," but many of them like the isolation from anti-mutant extremists. It is notably the hometown of David Letterman.
