"Um... Ok. I'll try." Matt said as he closed his eyes and focused. He focused hard on the heat within his body. He could feel it swelling. Moving. Down his arm. Into his hand. All of a sudden, his hands burst into flames.
"Whoa!" Matt said, holding the flames in his hands and looked to Jack.
"Hope that's fire-proof." He said as he thrusted his hands forward and unintentionally. released a giant wave of flames instead the small ball of fire he intended towards Jack.
"HOLY SHIT!" Matt cried out as he watched the flames shoot toward Jack.

Jack speed around the flames letting them hit the wall and die. "Whoa."

"I... I don't get it? I shot them out, but I... I had no control over them! It was they were alive or something!" Matt said, looking at his flame-covered hands in shock. How did Lucas ever master this power. Did he actually master fire? Was he still learning?
"I... I don't... don't want to use fire..." Matt said, extinguishing his hands and looking at Jack.
"It's powerful. Too powerful."

"I don't know. I'm good with my other brother's power. He's telekinetic. I just move small things, maybe a person. But it's weird, cause I can get a grip, but can't maintain it for long." Matt said, looking at Jack and thankful that he was able to dodge his attack.
"I just wanna be able to control these powers when I first absorb them. that way I won't be unstable or anything..." Matt said, looking at the floor.

"Hm..." Jack scratched his jaw, "Well... one thing I know that could help is always examining the powers in motion before you absorb them... accidents... on the other hand are more difficult to guess for..."

"Yeah, but that doesn't with Pandora!" Matt said before suddenly realising what he said.
"Uh... I mean... Oh crap." He said, looking down at the floor, his face all red.

"Pandora? You mean the quiet girl, Alice I believe her real name is." Jack lowered his head a bit, "Unfortunately, for that power, i have no solution, other then you starting to learn not to absorb the powers." Jack shrugged, "However, that could take months"

"I... I can't. I can't stop it. It just... happens. I can't turn it off." Matt said, looking at Jack now, the red slightly gone.
"You know, I think I want to practise Aryn's power... The dinosaur one." He asked, not wanting to talk about his power and being able to turn it off.

Jack still was interested in pursuing the possibility of teaching him to contain his absorbing of power from coming in contact with someone, he was a teenager... teenagers like to touch. "All right, give it a try." He spoke

"What..." Matt said, looking at Jack in a horrified sense. Touch someone without absorbing their power?
"I... I can't. It's not possible. I read up on my ability in a book in the library. It's just not possible!" Matt said, refusing to touch Jack.
"I won't do it. I'm not absorbing your powers." He said.

"Whoa, boy." Jack laughed a bit. "I meant try to form. It's much to soon to try anything like that." Jack smiled, "I wouldn't have you absorb my powers." Jack didn't want Matt go through some of his mutations, though his abilities didn't hint at it, he had quite the problems with each power, adding in the mutant scares and having to run while experiencing it all didn't help. He'd never be asked, he knew it, kids were always complaining about themselves, and their powers, but soon they'd get over it, when they realized, everyone had life or death training everyday, just being the way they were, whether it be because their powers could quite easily rip them apart or because they could burn themselves alive. Jack didn't wish any of it on any of his students but they had to go through it. "So try the raptor form."

"Ok... I'm not so sure how it works. But here goes nothing." Matt said as he closed his eyes and focused on Aryn's power. On her. He opened his eyes, and unknown to him they'd gone lizard-like. He looked down and his skin had become scaly. He was transforming.
"Whoa... This is intense!" Matt said as he continued the transformation, becoming a full-fledged raptor. He looked to Jack and a look of hunger overcame him. He didn't know about the animal instincts that came over him.
He walked up to Jack, mouth drooling with saliva, ready to pounce.

Matt snarled as he pounced onto Jack, attempting to rip at his torso with his claws. Although his human mind was trying gain control over the animal instincts, he couldn't manage. If he wasn't stopped soon, he could go crazy.
