Robert walked around the edges of the park, rather nervous. He had a bag of clothes and some food in one hand, it hadn’t been long since he had last called this place home, and now he was returning here; hopefully not for long.
Walking along he fumbled with a business card in one hand the events leading up to how he got it still vibrant in his head. Looking around he noticed a phone booth, he found some change in his pocket and he ran over.
Putting the coins in the slot he dialed the number and waited for someone to pick up, he waited and waited although it seemed no one was going to pick up. He waited until after the beep and deiced to leave a message. ”Umm hey, Mer… Its Robert, we met a long time ago in the alley. Anyways I was wondering if that offer of somewhere to stay was still open. If your willing to, you can pick me up at the park.” He hung up and sighed, he didn’t know what he wanted right now.
He thought he was making progress at the Manson but after the event downtown he regretted everything, all it did was bring up memories of the delinquent camp and everyone else he had accidently killed.
Walking back across the street to the park he headed inside, walking past the playground he headed toward a bench. Sitting down he sighed, he rubbed his fingers across a carving in the end of the bench. ”Home sweet home….” Leaning back he closed his eyes, behind the dark shades of his glasses.

As Willow listened to the grainy sound of Robert's voice, she couldn't help but think that she needed a new phone. That and she needed to get to the park, tapping her chin thoughtfully, she wondered what the fastest way to get there would be. She'd gone out for lunch in a cafe, and Central Park was on the other side of the city. There was always the possibility of stealing a car, Willow thought, before throwing out the idea. It would be noticed quickly, the traffic was especially hellish, and she hadn't stolen a car in two years. A bit too rusty for her taste.
Not to be discouraged, Willow decided on the subway. City blocks flew by over her head, and the subway rocketed through the tunnels. The chairs were a little grimy, and the hand holds were covered in fingerprints and had a light coating of grease. Just another part of the wonderful city of New York, Willow thought pleasantly as she stepped off of the subway at her stop, a block or two away from the park. The walk was quick, the crowds of people unusually absent.
Reaching an entrance to Central Park, Willow looked around, hoping she wouldn't have to search the entire place. Scanning the benches, she soon found the young boy. She trotted over and sat down beside him. "Hey, kid, what's up?" Willow said as she ruffled his hair, not sure if he was awake or not.

Robert sat there, waiting for her to get there; although he didn’t really know if she was going to show up. All he wanted was some time away from people, away from everything that kept happening. He watched everyone at the park and diverted his attention down to his lap.
Yawning he felt himself getting a little dizzy and his head drooped downward, his glasses falling into his lap. For the first time in as long as he could remember Robert actually had a dream, even though it wasn’t one he really would of wanted he actually had his own.
He dreamt about his time at the delinquent camp, when he was stuck in solitary confinement. The dream was rather bland and uneventful, he was just sitting in a chair in the white room, there was one door and nothing else. He looked around and sighed.
Just as he was feeling rather bored he found himself waking up, opening his eyes he noticed everything was way to bright, he looked down and picked up his sun glasses putting them on.
Looking over he noticed Mer, he smiled softly and started re-adjusting his hair. ”I guess the offer was still open… And I guess I’m ok.”

A small wave of relief ran over Willow, violence against mutants was an ever present threat, and she was glad Robert hadn't been a victim of it. He looked a little sleepy, but she couldn't fault him for that, his ability was connected to sleep after all. She just hoped that she hadn't interrupted something important, who knew what his dreams held?
"Well, that's good." Willow said, "And of course the offer is still open, I don't take back my offers if I can help it." Looking him over, she noticed the two bags. Curiosity welling up inside her, Willow could barely contain her questions. She was trying not to pry, that hadn't gone well the last time she had talked to the kid.
Trying to start again with something basic and not too personal, she spoke, "Do you need anything else besides a place to stay? I don't mind helping you out however I can." Hoping he would open up, Willow looked on expectantly with a tinge of worry, she did want to help him, but she didn't know if he would let her do anything more than give him a place to stay.

Robert nodded and yawned softly, he looked at her when she said she didn’t take back her offers, it was a good policy. He noticed her looking at the bags and he just sat there, he usually didn’t speak unless spoken to.
Scratching his head he opened the bag when she asked if he needed anything. ”I come prepared.. for anything, living out of home teaches you things…”
The first time they met it was obvious that he was homeless, although now he was much more clean, wearing new clothes that weren’t torn.

"Well, good for you. Preparedness will always be a virtue in my book." She said, smiling. Willow discreetly took in his new appearance, finding it much improved. Homeless people had always tugged on her heartstrings, and the fact that Robert seemed to be doing well filled her with optimism.
Trying out a new subject, she asked, "What have you been up to since I last saw you? Stayed anywhere interesting?" Genuinely curious, the young woman waited for his reply.
As she waited, Willow thought of where Robert could stay. She had no problem with him crashing in her apartment, but couldn't help but feel that it wasn't the best place to live. It was run down and had some dangerous neighbors, but the Brotherhood lair wasn't much better.

((I’m sooo sorry I haven’t been on, and I’m sorry it took so long to post, I have just been busy with my new sites and my girlfriend and stuff.))
Robert gave a sort of half smile when she noted him for being prepared, to be honest he thought she wouldn’t show up so he packed a little extra.
When she asked if he had been living anywhere interesting, when she asked if he had done anything interesting he looked at her briefly then looked away. ”A school… and no nothing exciting..” He only hoped that she hadn’t seen anything about the eighty or so people who were downtown who had died in their sleep somehow.
