Night Walk

[Aryn Vernier]

She immediately slowed down when there was a sudden lack of movement. With a soft rumble, she slowly looked around, then sniffed around to see if she had lost the trail. She shouldn't have..When it came to hunting, she was fairly experienced.

[wolf]

When the beast came into eye contact, Jason released the branch and got prepared for a fight.

[Aryn Vernier]

She jerked back at the branch and snarled in surprise. That had caught her off guard. So it seemed that she wasn't dealing with some coyote. Growling, she charged forward, prepared to knock whoever it was over.

[wolf]

Jason saw the thing running towards him. Instead of being an idiot and going at the teeth and claws, he went to go under, a reptile like that would be very top heavy. He went for the feet, if nothing else just to buy some time with a bit of off balance scrambling.

Not as top heavy as he'd think. Rather quickly, she spun around. This time, she canted her head at him followed by light sniffing. Bah. Mutie. Still, these were her woods..With a hiss, she snapped her jaws at him, just trying to be threatening for the moment.

[wolf]

It was obvious that he was not going to be intimidated by a lizard. He bared his teeth, prepared for a strike at any moment. His claws out ready. He could careless if the pope had claimed the woods, he'd still use them for his own personal hunting. He'd never steal what was already caught.

Yeah, but everyone knows the pope is full of it. She took a step forward, still sniffing. Besides wolvie, there weren't any other ferals. Apparently, this guy had recently showed up. Finally, she canted her head and made a curious type noise. Seemed she was more curious than anything.

[wolf]

Jason looked the thing up and down. Obviously it had some sort of consciousness by it's curious expression. "Who are you?" He barked out in a deep voice. He was not hiding his fangs yet and his guards was not down.

[Aryn Vernier]

She tilted her head the other way, thinking for a moment before finally shifting into her human form, but as always, keeping the reptilian eyes. "I am who I am." A slight grin. Unlike him, she didn't care if anyone saw the sharper than normal canines.

[wolf]

He looked at her a bit, with an eyebrow raised. "I'm guessing by the way you came at me, either you're hungry or I'm invading on your land." He had studied predator actions for a bit during highschool during biology, it was the only thing that kept him from going to sleep sometimes. He didn't lower his guard still, but he put his battle ready hands at his sides standing straight.

"Yeeeah..Technically I call this place mine..Seeing that I was the only feral around up until..Whenever you arrived." She was less on edge than him. In fact, she seemed amused at his almost standoffish appearance.

[wolf]

Jason nodded calming down slowly, the tension in his body lessening by the second. "Right, well... we can avoid this situation again, I'll find another hunting grounds. I don't really care where... as long as I get to hear something squeal a bit before the blood spills" he grumbled, it wasn't something he was particularly proud of, but it was part of his mutation to find it amusing to kill small creatures, to listen to them die.

"Eh..You can hunt around..just do it on the other side of the place away from me. I get cranky when strangers come around my kill." She replied.

[wolf]

"Note Taken. I tend not to enjoy coming around something that's already dead... there is no fun at all to be had." Jason smirked he was at ease again, but not exactly normal yet. "Other side is fine with me." He was hungry and itchying for a kill soon, "As long as there is reasonable game to have at."

[Aryn Vernier]

"No one's been hunting for a long time. Plenty of critters running around." For the most part, she was being..Friendly? How scary. A slight grin. "Ought to play chase again some time.."
