Jack had made it outside in time to see this. He wasted no time in yelling. He ran towards Matt, aiming a closed elbow at a clothed part of his arm. Hoping to take the blow and go from there

Matt was caught off guard and took the blast, his skin and shirt being scorched. He fell the floor and his skin slowly began to heal. He got up wearily and looked at Darren.
"Bro... I haven't even started!" Matt roared as he used Lucas' ability to conjure boulders from the ground and sent them flying to Darren.
He saw Jack running up to him.
"NO!" Matt said as he used telekinesis to push Jack back away from the fight.

Jack skid back slightly. "You two have to calm down!" He yelled. He looked back hoping for some one, anyone coming after this. "This isn't helping anyone's case!"

Darren saw the boulders coming, and while in the air, kicked through most of them. His energy imbued into the kicks made them that much more powerful as he powed through the rocks, punching through the last one. He floated closer to Matt and held up his fist, licking blood away from the scorched knuckles where he punched the rock. You could already see the bone on the knuckles where his energy burned his skin away. Other parts of his body seemed to crack a bit, blood running down his arms and cheeks.
"Try to heal when theres nothing left of you." He said, expanding his field of energy as he slowly came closer to Matt. The field of energy was a good twelve feet from his body now. Eight more feet and there would be irreversable, physical damage to himself. He was closing on on Matt and any second now, Matt would know where the field was.

Matt saw Darren coming closer and felt his skin begin to burn. He closed his eyes and disappeared. He reappeared a good 15 feet away from Darren, where he was healed. He looked at Darren and then to Jack.
He then raised his hands high and the water from the fountain and the pool rose like a giant water snake and he swirled around Darren and hopefully it douse him and turn off his power.

Where's a tranq when you really need one? "Hey, idiot!" Jack yelled at Darren. "Power down, or I'm kicking your ass." Jack knew it wasn't really possible... but he wanted to stop the fight at any means necessary. He watched Matt's attack. If it worked then he'd be okay... if not, then this was ending.

"Water? Seriously? I'm not in fire you prick." He said as most of the water evaporated as it went through the very hot field, some of it still spraying through the feild and dampening his clothes, skin and hair a bit. Darren floated higher above the water and looked down at Matt. "Don't you see?" Darren said, holding his arms out to the side. The ends of his clothes were partially dissintegrated already, and his skin was bleeding even more now.
"The strongest powers, come with the biggest curses. But I have this under control. Last year I would be dead by now. You silly teacher doesn't have this experience. This is the experience you need!" He said, and laughed before coughing into his hand. When he pulled his hand away, he noticed blood.

"Goddammit, freakin idiot." Jack signal desperately for Matt to get out now. "Hey! Whose to say I didn't have that experience ya punk?!" Jack yelled, "Whose to say I didn't have an erruption of power that nearly tore every damn muscle from it's place in my body?!"

"Yeah, You got perfect control, bro! You're doing serious damage to yourself! Just stop and let these guys help you! Or else I will absorb your power and you know what happens after that!" Matt threatened as he looked to Jack, then back to Impulse.
"You decide. You stop or i absorb!"

Darren stared at the blood in his hand for a moment, everyone voices a bit dulled to him at the present time. He didn't understand what he was doing. This wasn't like him at all. sure a fight occasionally, but threatening everyone else and himself in the process? He vaguely heard the threat to absorb his powers from Matt and Darrens eyes went back to normal without the red glow.
"No.... you can't do that and you know it!" He said, shaking. He couldn't control the energy anymore. It was too much. He looked up and flew into the sky. Just a bit over three miles above the ground there was an explosion of red energy. And then a minute later, Darrens body fell. He was charred, bloody, and steaming as he fell. If he were to hit the ground, his body might not survive it. He was strong, but not that strong.

Jack zoomed over under Darren, he didn't care if every inch of his flesh would burn. He was going to catch him.

"DARREN!" Matt roared as he saw the explosion and saw him fall. He used telekinesis to stop him from falling and levitated him over to Jack.
"Take him to the doctor! Ask for Claire Realer. She'll know what to do!" Matt said, levitating him to Jack and placing him in his arms.
"GO! NOW!"

Darren was completely unconscious, and in a way actually sleeping for one of the first times in his life. His power was completely drained but his flesh was still burning hot. The field around him was gone and would stay like that for a while. But not too long. Darren needed to be put somewhere that couldn't be damaged if his power was to come back before he woke up. Adamantium may not even be enough to hold back his power if it were to get loose again, though he never tested that before. His energy could get really hot sometimes, which is why it was so hard to keep himself from dissintegrating when he powered up.
